The BEAL Birdie is a compact, user-friendly assisted-braking belay device for ropes from 8.5 to 10.5 mm. It’s designed for both lead belaying and top-rope use.

Built with an all-metal body and stainless-steel internal components for extended durability, the rope runs straight through the device’s axis, helping prevent rope twisting and reducing wear from edge friction. The device cannot be accidentally opened during use.
