The Unicore treatment from Beal links the core and sheath together to limit movement between the two parts. Dynamic ropes that use this technology tend to retain their sheath diameter (it doesn't thicken over time), stay suppler, have better handling, and last longer overall than ropes without. Fluid 9.8 diameter runs easily when clipping or feeding slack. The fluid quality will suit experienced climbers who don't need the hearty stoutness of a thicker line.

* With a standard rope, if the sheath is cut by abrasion over an edge, it slides and gathers over some metres.
