The RIG descender is designed to meet the needs of experienced rope access technicians who work on rope every day. Featuring an ergonomic handle that provides excellent descent control, this compact and easy-to-use descender makes your workday easier. The AUTO-LOCK function allows users to easily position themselves at a workstation without manual operation. With increased durability, the shape of the cam limits wear. Easy to use:

• Markings and rope guide make it quick and easy to install the rope
• Ergonomic handle provides good grip and excellent descent control
• Moving side plate can be opened while the device remains connected to the harness, making it easier to pass intermediate anchors
• The AUTO-LOCK system allows users to easily position themselves at a workstation without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device
• Handle automatically switches to storage position when the rope is removed from the device, reducing the risk of accidental snagging when the descender is carried on the harness

Versatile:

• Two possible descent modes: with the rope running over the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel, which provides better descent control and helps keep the rope from kinking
• Can be used connected to the harness or to an anchor
• Once the rope is blocked, it is possible to ascend in short spurts without manipulating the handle by simply pulling the rope through the device
• Can be used to belay a lead with techniques used in climbing

Durable and repairable:

• Reinforced protection on the rope friction zone helps prevent premature wear on the moving side plate
• Cam shape improves rope pinching and limits wear on the device
• Repairable Version for a longer-lasting solution or to account for intensive use and demanding work conditions
